ABOUT ARDC
Founded in 2004, The African Refugee Development Center (ARDC) is a grassroots community-based non-profit organization based in Tel Aviv, aiming to promote economic and social inclusion for African refugees and asylum seekers in Israel. With over 500 program participants and 10,000 asylum seekers assisted to date, ARDC works to provide access to education and vocational training opportunities as well as job placement, with the goal of bolstering social mobility and economic growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Grant writing and compliance
· Manage the timeline of all grant-related deadlines, including applications, progress reports, and final reports.
· Support the writing, editing, and formatting of concept notes, proposals and both financial and narrative reports to foundations, corporations, institutional and individual donors.
2) CRM onboarding and management
· Manage the onboarding of and optimize a data management system for different organizational uses, including primarily donor and lead management.
· Upload information on past and current donors and leads and ensure that the system is always up to date.
3) Donor relations
· Manage engagement plans with donor groups.
· Maintain relations with existing donors and manage newsletter updates.
· Support the establishment of global fundraising offices.
· Represent ARDC in donor meetings and inter-agency coordination meetings.
· Support communication efforts, including development of annual reports and donor marketing materials.
4) Donor prospecting and outreach
· Maintain a strong awareness of donor and investor trends and relevant grant opportunities.
· Conduct stakeholder mapping and analyses and manage donor leads.
· Lead outreach to new donors, including foundations, private companies, bi-lateral donors, government and municipal offices, faith-based organizations, international NGOs, investment funds, and individual donors.
· Lead crowdfunding and email campaigns.
· Support the establishment of ARDC’s education fund as a new fundraising mechanism.
5) Representation
· Represent ARDC in donor visits, speaking engagements, and conferences.
· Lead and support donor visits and manage media relations.
· Help organize ARDC conferences and public events.
The above is not an exhaustive list of tasks and the selected candidate will be expected to complete any other tasks as assigned by the CEO or on their behalf.
REQUIREMENTS
· Native English speaker – a must.
· Spoken and written Hebrew – preferred.
· Proven experience in grant writing, reporting, and compliance for various donors including foundations, UN agencies, bi-lateral donors, Jewish federations, corporations, private individuals, and others.
· Strong experience with CRM/data management systems.
· Proven experience in donor relationship, research, and prospect management.
· Experience with leading donor visits and public speaking.
· Excellent English writing, proofing, and editing skills.
· Knowledge of the philanthropic world.
· Understanding of program cycles, program log frames, and monitoring and evaluation.
· Flexibility, ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Israeli citizenship or valid Israeli work permit.
· Experience in the humanitarian or development sectors – advantage.
· Relevant courses or academic background in fundraising or non-profit management – advantage.
